MASSAGE THERAPY
 As a Massage Therapist, you will have knowledge of basic science and the anatomy / physiology of the human body, as well as massage techniques and manipulations designed to enhance the physical health of patients.
You will also have an advanced knowledge of all body systems with particular emphasis upon the skeletal and muscular systems of the body. This knowledge enables you to assess the needs of patients, develop individualized care plans, and conduct therapeutic massage to treat a patient's illness.
In addition, as a Massage Therapist, you will have advanced knowledge of medical terminology, hygiene, safety, and sanitation. To successfully practice, you will be provided with thorough knowledge of professional / business ethics and the legal issues related to the practice of Massage Therapy.

Where can I work?
A qualified massage therapist has many employment opportunities upon graduation and as they gain experience. Massage therapists may work in Massage Clinics, Hospital Rehabilitation departments, Wellness Centers, Chiropractic offices, Physical and Occupational Therapy clinics. They also may work for Beauty Salons, Day Spas, Resorts, Athletic Gyms, Fitness Centers and for Sports Teams and Esthetician shops. Many Airports, Shopping Centers and Hotels as well as Cruise Ships are making massage available to their patrons. Many massage therapists choose to start their own business and develop their own clientele, some provide Chair Massages at business offices etc. There are growing opportunities for qualified Massage Therapists. Are there really jobs available for me?
We could tell you... "Absolutely." But, what we prefer to do is to encourage you to do the research yourself. Get a copy of your local newspaper and read through the Healthcare job listings. Look for your potential job category and see for yourself how many great opportunities will be available to you when you complete your Concorde training. Jump online and search some of the excellent job resource websites for opportunities in your field. The jobs are out there... so don't wait any longer if you want to work in Healthcare.
